SafeCircle (“SafeCircle,” “we,” “us”) provides family scam-risk warnings. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Information we process
We process your name, email address, account identifier, family-circle membership, device platform, protection status, subscription status and safety alerts you choose to share. When you submit suspicious text or a link for server analysis, we process that content to return a risk assessment. Common card numbers, verification codes, government identifiers and account-number patterns are redacted before optional AI analysis.
On Android, if you explicitly grant Notification Access, SafeCircle may analyze text already visible in supported notifications. Local analysis happens on the device. Only high-risk redacted content is sent to our server when family sharing is enabled. On iPhone, Apple’s Message Filter extension analyzes SMS/MMS from unknown senders locally. SafeCircle cannot read WhatsApp, private iMessage conversations or other apps’ notifications on iPhone.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate trusted family circles, analyze scam risk, display and share selected safety warnings, verify subscriptions, prevent abuse, provide support and comply with law. We do not sell personal information, serve targeted advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Service providers
We use hosting providers to operate the service; Apple and Google to process and verify subscriptions; and OpenAI API for optional additional analysis. Submitted content is sent from the SafeCircle server, not from a personal ChatGPT account.
Retention
We retain account and family information while the account is active. We aim not to store the full text of manual scans. Shared high-risk alerts retain the risk category, short explanation, member identity and timestamp. Purchase verification records and limited security logs may be retained as required for fraud prevention, accounting or law.
Security and your choices
We use encrypted transport, restricted server secrets, secure mobile credential storage and server-side purchase verification. You can disable permissions, stop family sharing, manage the store subscription and delete your account inside the app.
Children and international processing
SafeCircle is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in a user’s country. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate.
